Do you like our new look? It has been 16-years since FashionCapital hit the World Wide Web providing advice, support, opportunities and services across the fashion sector. As we have grown we have developed an understanding of what our core audience wants and here it is – the all new FashionCapital…’From idea conception to completed collection – FashionCapital guides you through every step of the garment process to create a brand that is ethical, sustainable and competitively made in the UK.’

Fashion Enter Spreads Its Wings:
Leicester & Derry

We are pleased to announce that we will be working with Leicestershire Textiles Hub on a collaborative business growth programme targeted at small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) across Leicester and Leicestershire. Fashion Enter CEO Jenny Holloway will present a workshop to prepare Fashion & Textiles manufacturers to improve business profitability through efficiency in processes, improving productivity, effective use of resources and accurate costings in the coming year.

Fashion Enter also has a schedule of ongoing workshops with Fashion Textile and Design Centre in Derry City and Strabane District Council of Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Working in conjunction with the Fashion & Textile Design Hub the aim is to create a programme that emerging talents in the textile and design industry can really benefit from. In December we will be delivering The Design Process & Legal and Finance workshop, followed by What Makes a Successful Brand & How to do your own PR Marketing and Branding in the New Year.

Masterclasses at FashionCapital HQ

Our masterclasses span the entire spectrum of the fashion industry and provide crucial information to begin and develop your fashion business. We are now planning for the year ahead and have three confirmed dates set on the Masterclass calendar: 10x Steps to Building a Brand with Brand & Marketing Consultant Tracey Parks-Taylor on the 11th January, People, Product & Performance with Susan O’Hare and David Attwood on the 8th February and Growing Your Audience Through Advertising and Media delivered by Charlotte Parks-Taylor, Director of Strategy & Insight at Cream on the 10th May.

Fashion Enter Makes The Top 100

The Manufacturer’s Top 100 recognises the UK’s most inspiring and influential individuals working in the sector and once again for the second year running Fashion Enter has made the grade. Factory Visits From Westminster and Bath Spa Uni’s

Last week we welcomed a group of MSc Purchasing and Supply Chain Management students from Westminster University. The seminar began with an introduction to the company by Director Jenni Sutton and a breakdown of the seminar and Factory tour schedule.

“I thought it was really interesting to see each step of the production process, and I think the Production Director was amazing when she showed us around the factory and went into all of the small details. She really had an in-depth knowledge to share with us, which I found really useful as I’ll be able to apply that to my studies. I was also surprised to hear that one of their main clients was ASOS! To know a small UK based factory is producing for such a large fashion retailer is really cool.” – Jeanne

Today (29th November) we have two Factory visits from Bath Spa University fashion students who will gain firsthand insight into how an ethical factory facility works.
