Decent Exposure SS18

28-11-2017

You may want to think twice about completely over indulging amid the upcoming festive period because come next season, stores will be showered in all-exposing, barely-there garments that unapologetically put the body on display. This trend will be showing everyone just what your mother gave you. Fashion has no mercy, which appears evident as designers are championing sophisticated yet diaphanous dressing that fails to leave much to the imagination for Spring/Summer 2018.

Eveningwear is going to orchestrate a whole new level of erotic styling, suggesting what it is to be a sensual and seductive woman in the year of 2018. A sense of body confidence and self-assurance will transpire as your ultimate empowering accessory as when taking cues from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior, and Y/Project, knickers, bare breasts, and all another manner of flesh will be daringly flashed under an array of boudoir-worthy gowns, strapless, tulle trailing dresses, and nude embroidered slips.

Paco Rabanne took the prettiest of baby blue sheers and fashioned a beguiling baby doll playsuit that was angelic as well as alluring, with appropriate colour coordinating underwear to match. Joseph shook up typical office wear shirting and revealed a gossamer shirt dress that despite being buttoned all the way up to the top, racially exposed a generous amount of what is underneath. Bigger was better at Jil Sander, where a blue, chequered floor-length gown revealed not only a somewhat oversized silhouette but the model’s chest too.

Dolce & Gabbana illustrated eveningwear dressing to perfection with an off-the-shoulder, black roached midi that was charming albeit sexy in equal measures, whilst Christian Dior’s black diaphanous, netted swishy column dress took on a more playful essence. In contrast to evening, other designers approached the exposing trend via anoraks for daytime, like the ethereal numbers found at Fendi and Pringle of Scotland. At first glance, you could assume they are practical but then again, they’re constructed from the most delicate of chiffons.

Tip: invest in several pairs of alluring, high-waist briefs as these will be crucial to your less is more attire, come spring.
