I've been exctied about seeing this show all week. A huge hit with everyone Bora Aksu pulled a huge crowd this morning, including fellow design guru Avsh Alom Gur.
 The collection started with fairly chilling tunes, automatically assigning this collection to the 'gothic' and 'errie' sector in my brain. I loved it though. No one works chiffon quite like Bora Aksu, and it may be the end of a super long week, but the atmosphere was electric. The colour palette started super pale, with ice whites, pale salmon pink and a lemon yellow. As the collection developed there was a strong Victoriana feel, that seems to be carrying over from this A/W.  Sleeves had a far more structured feel with cap styles with very stiff, organza sleeve heads. Other strong styles included a beautifully gathered bell bottom sleeve that combined sheer organza and a heavier silk metallic fabric. As the collection developed, colours became stronger, but still kept a very gothic feel with sheer metallic lilacs paired over black.  Skirt shapes danced between full gathers, to quite sleek, draped chiffon layers, but the real winners were the assymetrically cut dresses that graduated to longer lengths at the back, while being incredibly full and dramatic.  Accessories were veering towards carrying on the trend for bows, with over the top hair pieces, while belts ensured waspie waists and veered towards ribbon style, obi wraps.  This collection was full of black magic and galmour, the fuller skirts showed a veer away from trousers for S/S 09, while the dresses swung between fuller styles and chicer cocktail versions.
