Ladieswear label Hemyca first joined FashionCapital when they showcased at Profile at FashionExpo last November and since then the designers have gone from strength to strength.
![]() With their collection named ‘The Dream of Time', I automatically jumped to the conclusion that it was going to be a runway full of flowing dresses and fantasy loose clothing. I was wrong. Instead I was treated to a runway of smartly dressed women in suits which were made up of clean strong line and an emphasis on the waist, providing an extra feminine and powerful silhouette. The influence of tailored items from Saville Row are clear, not only from their cuts but the material chosen were desirable tailored cloths, made into separates, suits and stunning dresses.

The Suits however simple they looked from the outside, differed from the colourful inside, lined with pink, yellow or even large blue stripes of material. As I watched the garments saunter down the catwalk I was treated to a glimpse of the magical lining beyond the outer layer of the suit, almost a secret known only to the wearer.

These bright treats were further carried on by the occasional dress which fitted in beautifully amongst the tailored suits, the sparkly of tropical and citrus wonders made the collection even more exciting, with a light covering of crystals, chain and prints of broken clock parts; they really did make the cherry on top of the already glorious cake.
