Congratulations to everyone who participated in Model Search and FOBD in the finals held today, and the winners are...
100's of people flocked to Vicarage field Shopping Centre today to support the final of Face of Barking & Dagenham and the Model Search competition compeered by the amazing model/actress Annameka Porter Sinclair. Starting at 11:00hrs and finishing at 16:00hrs the centre had a continuous stream of shoppers supporting over 60 finalists "The ultimate prize was the trip to New York on 10th & 11th September to be a Catwalk Model at Fashion Enters show Profile NY" .JPG "Judges and finalists") The Judging Panel consisted of: Sola Oyebade - CEO Management from Mahogany Models Sophia White - Director of Mahogany Models Jennifer Holloway - Director Fashion Enter Ltd Derek Levy - Principal Barking & Dagenham Regeneration Eryca Freemantle - International Make up Artist & Stylist Carla Golshani - Director of Inspire the Spirit And in all categories the decisions were difficult to confirm.  Samantha Wright - Winner The competition was so fierce it made judging a very difficult process; so difficult that Mahogany Models decided to award two winning modelling contracts; regrettably only one can attend New York Profile Show during Fashion week. Samantha Wright is the lucky model being flown to New York.  Yasmeen Robinson to carry a very close second. "I want to thank the judges for the best experience of my life" .JPG "Alexandra Baston") Alexandra Baston was the "People's most Popular" choice. "The best show I have taken part in. If you want to get experience its brilliant. Perfect!" Model Search This is the Vicarage Field Competition set up by Simon Green Centre manager. The categories were as follows: Age 21+  Sharon Miller - Winner "Great fun! Love fashion, nice opportunity to do modelling for the day"  Maria Neal - First Runner up  Irma Lleshi - Runner up  Congratulations to all three of these lovely ladies, it's clear to see why the judges couldn't resist offering contacts to each of them. Age 16-20 years  Khadijah Maalow - Winner  Janita Francis - First Runner up  Durwayne McPherson - Runner up "I felt that this show helped me to show off what I have and what I can do, I'm happy to be a part of it now I know I will do even better in the future"  Wardah Khan - Runner up "I want to thank everyone and the judges in making me and Barking & Dagenham really proud, the show was excellent! And I hope the show is even better next year"  Age 11-15yrs  Darrianne Heslop - Winner  Annameka presenting the 11 - 15 years category to Darianne Heslop the winner with the three runners up; Gianluca Saldana taking the first runner up place with Adriana Saldana and Nikola Novakovic following closely  Congratulations to finalists in the Model Search 11 - 15 years category with contracts in hand and the support of our judges  Gianluca Saldana - First Runner-up  Nikola Novakovic - Runner Up Each winner receives a modelling contract with Vicarage Field, Vouchers and framed certificate.
