Personal statement: A highly creative and diligent textile design graduate, with a great enthusiasm for the fashion and interior industry. Keen to face new challenges and learn new skills. Able to use own initiative and work as part as a team having been successful as a sponsorship co-ordinator for my course degree show. I have also worked at various fashion and textile studios, gaining valuable experience about the industry and am confident in adapting to traditional commercial design. Education: Loughborough University - BA Hons Multimedia Textiles 2005 - 2008 My present interest is in 3D textiles, believing in expressing own identity and able to be diverse and versatile. Have developed invaluable skills in using a variety of materials, fabric techniques and developing design conclusions which have enabled me to have successfully sold work at Premiere Vision. NCN College, Nottingham 2004-2005 Distinction obtained on BTEC National Diploma Foundation Studies in Art and Design. Baxter Fawcett Design Studio, London 8th October - 19th October 2007 An assistant to all the studio designers. Duties involved sourcing fabrics, assisting in the production of designs, preparing fabric for design, hand sewing, beading and running general errands. Premiere Vision, Paris 17th September- 19th September 2007 Invited to be a stand assistant for Amanda Kelly design studio. Role involved presenting the collection to company clients and making sales. Eley Kishimoto, London fashion Week 16th September 2007 Responsible for prepping the model for the show which required organisation and attentiveness. Amanda Kelly Design Studio, London 6th August- 24th August 2007 Requested to come back as a studio assistant helping with sewing, embellishing, heat pressing and mounting designs; however I was also given the extra responsibility of creating designs for the company. Giles Studio, London 23rd July - 27th July 2007 I assisted on several tasks including the construction of garments, quality control checks, sourcing fabrics, garment prep and assisting the pattern cutters with cutting and laying out patterns.
