After 7 months of gathering information together and talking to industry experts and other designers, I have finally pulled my book together and finished it! It is over 18,000 words!! I hope this explains my silence of late!
Lots of my friends, mentors and supporters have contributed to this book and it will feature quotes from the likes of Nigel Barker (America s Next Top Model), US singer Christina Milian, Terry Mansfield CBE, former President and CEO of The National Magazine Company (Natmags) and Chairman of Graduate Fashion Week, Simon Whitehouse, Global Sales Director of DKNY, celebrity stylist Nick Ede (Project Catwalk), Courtney Blackman (Fashion Business Club founder), Jenny Holloway (Fashion Capital), Nolcha, Natasha Faith of award-winning Harrods jewellery brand La Diosa, Fashion Africa.com founder Wadami and others.

Industry watchdog Anti-Copying in Design (ACID) has also approved a section in the book advising designers about protecting clothing designs.

Cosmopolitan Magazine honour I am currently in the running for COSMOPOLITAN S Ultimate Woman of 2008 so wish me luck!

The awards aim to celebrate women with a totally fun approach to their lives, who follow their dreams, live life to the max and, in true Cosmo language, are always the 'best they can be'.
Black Vogue

Did you catch the all black issue of Vogue? If you did not, to summarise...
Please try to buy this magazine to defy the notion that black models don't sell or inspire women to spend money. I know lots of black models within the model industry and if nothing else this should give them the much needed-confidence boost they deserve. Be sure to pick up a copy this month please x
Out and About In between writing, living and all the rest I have managed to go to a few events doing the industry smoozing and networking thing .

Ayi Jihu is busy recording her album and will be at the Olympic games. She is also launching her own shoe range too for women with petite feet!

The awards are a true celebration of being a Fun Fearless Female (FFF). It would be so cool to win but it is really cool just to be considered to be honest! This year looks like it will be pretty amazing and I don t think anything can take away from what I have achieved so far. It can only get better!
