Annameka and Rod came into contact through Fashion Capital and after a short telephone conversation they decided to work together. Annameka is a trained actor as well as a model and has appeared in a number of TV commercials and short films. Rod seemingly surprised at her, portfolio - as he felt it in no way conveyed her elegance and beauty, resolved to do something about it.
Using a hand held Canon 5D camera with slow shutter speeds and a moderately high ISO. The resultant images (all of which were taken in natural light with minimal styling) capture the essence of each outfit, and radiate Annameeka's stunning looks beautifully.
The clothes and location are definitely sumptuous giving a sense of warmth. Speaking of the clothes they work extremely well with Annameka's skin tone, particularly the bold orange dress with a central embellishment (made by designer Gamble). With a slightly oriental feel to it is the turquoise printed piece by Gabriella Ravello , then we have the work of Uma Jane a luxurious green with pink trim dress. But my favourite shot besides the Annameka in the orange creation in front of the fireplace, has to be Annameka positioned in front of a rather colour and mood fitting back drop, as she wears shorts by Sugarhill and a top by Romeo Pires.
The session started off well. Annameka settled down very quickly, not being overworked - (a cardinal rule) and being able to review the shots straight away, she was able to adapt her look and feel to suit the surroundings, resulting in the tranquil, almost oriental portrait in the blue blouse at the end of the two hour session.
