Do you ever wonder how the clothes that you bought from the shops got there?
When it comes to transporting clothes, the articles of clothing are divided into two different sections, outer clothing and underclothing. When the clothes are transported by trucks the outer clothing are usually placed on hangers and then covered in dust covers that are sealed at the bottom, whilst the underclothing are placed in folding cartoons and then placed into containers which are lined with tissue paper and are made of wet strength corrugated board. While in the truck the articles of clothing must be stored at specific temperatures, between 10-30°C to avoid the quality of the clothes being impaired. Also the garments should be protected from moisture as they could readily absorb the moisture and this would affect the clothes. In addition the boxes where the clothes will be stored should be kept safe and steady so that they don't slip and become damaged during the transportation. The clothes that are on hangers should have the area where they will be stored, inspected carefully for cleanliness and the hangers should be safely secured. The articles of clothing are very valuable and therefore are at risk of theft so make sure that your goods are safe when they are being transported and that you trust the company that is transporting your garments.
