British Jamaican Annameka Porter-Sinclair grew up in the borough of Croydon, made famous by the supermodel Kate Moss who started her early years in Croydon.
Annameka attended the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy, and then she later studied at the famous BRIT School of Performance Arts & Technology in Croydon that nurtured other talents such as Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Kate Nash and Adele. She attended Staffordshire University, where she was asked to present her work to her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth upon her visit to the University. ![]() Annameka has been involved in the commercial side of acting and modelling, doing music video's and commercial rather than the serious acting role, that she no doubt has the depth and passion to pull off, as she demonstrated at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington in April of 2008 where she played Maxine the saviour to a friend caught up in domestic violence. Fashion and beauty has always been of profound interest to Annameka, which is why the show "Beautiful People" attracted her attention, she later discovered was called Vanity Lair, her fleeting appearance on the Channel 4 show, was a lucky escape as it did not pose the true questions on beauty, just vanity, so determined to make things right with herself she agree to write an article for MIMI magazine called "The Absence of Colour" Which highlighted the lack of black hair and beauty products in mainstream retail stores, that will raise questions about true beauty being represented in society. Annameka is a talented actress, versatile by nature, with a passion to push into the unknown with confidence.
