Next on the agenda was students from the University of Northampton to dazzel us with their creative talent.

Fashion at the University of Northampton has become synonymous with creativity, colour and aesthetic finess and the catwalk show certainly demonstrated this. A fantastic mix of ultra feminine collections contrasted with darker more masculine themes. The all in one catsuit yet again made an appearance; a common shape with this years graduates. Puff ball sleeves, dramatic collars with intricate folds and twists of the fabric and distingusied prints also played an important part.

Amy Thompson showed incredible attention to detail and intelligent folding and shaping of fabric. Her ruffles and frills added great dramatic effect and overall a unique and sophisticated collection.

Masculine tuxedos with high ruffled collars and cuffs came into play with Natalie Roberts chic collection. Well structured waistcoats with button detail and sharp sholders were put with stark white mens shirts that were feminised with delicate frills encasing the face.

In strong contrast Craig Fellows gave a ultra girly, almost 1950's housewife themed collection. Bustle skirts with netted underlining bounced up and down the runway and headscarves, neck ties and printed silk shirts all added feminine appeal.

Another delighfully feminine collection came from Natasha Johnson. With paisley printed bloomers, see through fabric revealing naughty french knickers and cup cake hair pieces Natasha's rather cheeky collection was fun to watch with suprisingly smiley models!

Other highlights inclued a metallic gold, multi tiered party dress and a shocking pink taffeta dress enveloped with bellowing sleeves and ruffled collar of folded fabric, giving an old edwardian look a modern facelift.
