Yves Saint Laurent, monarch of 20th Century fashion has died at the age of 71.

 The epic life of legendary couturier drew to a close at his beloved home in Paris at 11 o'clock Sunday evening. Having sculpted an era upon the introduction of trouser suits, safari jackets and sweaters into the wardrobes of women throughout the globe, the celebration of his timeless degree of innovative impact created within the fashion industry transpired a much needed eluding confidence women craved during the period of his ascent to the pinnacle of fashion stardom.

 Saint Laurent's contributions to evolutionary movements in fashion commenced as did his career; becoming chief designer at the House of Dior at a mere 21 opened the doors to experiment with his conceptual expression of women's emerging role in society. Saint Laurent once said, 

 "I draw on women, I found my style through women and that's where its strength and vitality comes from because I draw on the body of a woman" 

His innate drive for encouraging the intrinsic strength of women to search for and cherish their confidence in all aspects of life along with his profound respect for women has deemed generations of females eternally grateful for the resulting freedom women experience today.

Born in the Algerian city of Oran at a time when the North African country was a French colony. His precocious talent bursting at the seams pending the relentless whirlwind of opportunity, was more than a far cry away throughout the torment of his childhood having suffered abuse from peers as a schoolboy because of his homosexuality. Yves Saint Laurent suffered both mental and physical illnesses throughout the duration of his life and appeared in public very rarely, however there is no escaping the magnitude of historical importance of the Yves Saint Laurent.
