FASHION + GRAPHICS + PASSION = CREATIVE DESIGNER

I am a 24-year-old creative designer with a real passion for fashion. I work part time as a graphic designer & put all of my free time & money into developing my fashion ranges. My creative ambition started early at school & then took me straight to college where I studied Fashion, Art & Photography. I then went on to complete my degree in Graphic Design Degree achieving a first class qualification. During this period I worked on all types of design from textiles to fashion & even magazine construction. The course was so diverse that I loved every moment of it. I decided to take the fashion route, as I love printed fabrics & imagery that could be applied to fabrics. Fashion gets me really excited & I wanted to make my own mark on the industry.

After my course I managed to get some really good jobs including both Fashion & Graphic Design. My strong point is surface design so I decided that my ideas about fashion could be taken a step further with my advantage of graphical prints. I worked for high street brand River Island & fashion Boutique Lulu Red that gave me the confidence to have a go at my own individual collection. I had collected a range of contacts through my work experience so I started to create & form a collection that was bold, bright and most of all exciting and indivual, a style that showed a graphical style. I love Jersey fabrics so I decided my range would consist of dresses, skirts & tops. The collection has been advertised as ‘Punk meets Princess' delivery funky prints on feminine outfits. The collection is diverse & eye-catching. The main idea that makes the collection different from any other collection is the hand drawn graphical prints on the actual fabrics. 

I also design one-off evening dresses using beautiful silk fabrics. (Some of which are commissions) I am always looking for new future projects within fashion and jobs that will add to my fashion career/adventure.
