I (Landi van Aardt) am a qualified couturier with fourteen years experience in the industry. I studied at an internationally recognized fashion school in South Africa and completed my studies in haute couture.

After completing my studies, I concentrated on developing my own business, first in Pret-a-Porter fashion and later in tailored suits – ladies and menswear - couture garments. I found myself spending more and more time couture sewing on evening and wedding dresses. Over the years I have participated in many fashion shows, locally and internationally. I designed for beauty pageants and charity events.

I take pride in the selecting of the finest quality fabrics. My aim is to offer quality gowns of sophisticated style and design with superb fit and workmanship.

As Executive Director of DL HC School of fashion it is my goal to establish a platform for my students to work from. To prepare and equip them with the know-how and confidence to step into the fashion world as young designers.

Our fashion design program (3 years) consists of classes in study drawing, colour compositions and form as well as development and training in pattern making, draping and cutting techniques. Fashion marketing, textiles and business classes are also included.

Our programs are developed to ensure only the highest standards. Modern fashion design education is provided in order to assist in the need for qualified, innovative and well equipped fashion designers with exposure to international trends in the fashion industry.

Our 1^st and 2^nd year programs are developed to equip the students with the much needed knowledge and skills, and during the 3^rd year program the students are given a chance to kick start their businesses on a professional level while developing their own fashion label.
