After what is gearing up to be another season of black, neutrals, slate and crimson a wave of vibrant colour always makes for a refreshing sight. Inspired by the transformation of butterflies Afshin’s collection goes from the darkness of the cocoon to the brightest of eye-catching shades. Matt wools and jerseys soon move over into metallic satins and reflective embellishments.

Textures were enhanced by details galore; twists, pleats, gathers and ruffles made for some great surface interest but at times could be somewhat overwhelming. Super feminine, this latest collection from Afshin certainly has a bit of everything including some dramatic full-length gowns perfect for the red carpet.
