Exclusive event: Woody Allen's producer speaks out Our upcoming film and TV event features Gareth Wiley, the producer of Match Point and several other Woody Allen projects. Event: Log in, Blog to, Log out Blogging has redefined the boundaries of creative writing, journalism, marketing and has given everyone a platform to express their creative ideas and opinions. A blog can be an online diary, a collection of links or a soapbox for a point of view you have. But when does an opinion turn into defamation? And what rights do you need to clear to use on a blogging/networking site? This essential event for anyone that contributes to a blog or has a social networking profile will cover: - What are the pros and cons of creating a blog/ contributing to a social network? - Are you responsible for clearing your contributor's content? - Can you be responsible if other people take your comments out of context? - If you work for a company can your views affect them? - Can you remain anonymous? - What are you agreeing to when you join a blogging website and which countries law do you have to adhere to? - What you need to be aware of when sourcing other peoples content? Event: How Do Jewellery Designers Go for Gold? What does it take to get your jewellery designs from your studio or workshop to the commercial market, and how do you find the best way forward for you? Ana De Costa, a jewellery designer who has collaborated with Shaun Leane and Alexander McQueen - will explain how collaborations are essential to moving your work forward. Ana's proactive attitude led to her being nominated as a 'designer to watch' in the Vogue List 2005. The importance of collaboration and cultivating relationships will be further explained by jewellery design instructor Jasmin Karger and Briffa lawyer Amandeep Singh.
