Fashion Illustration

I have attended a number of Getting It Right First Time seminars where I spoke about the art of fashion illustration to a cross section of audiences ranging from secondary school pupils to university graduates about to embark on their career in the fashion industry.

My back ground is in fashion design where I studied all aspects of fashion design in my HND course. My speciality was in fashion illustration which led me to talking about this area in the seminars. I was highly commended for my designs and illustrations in many live projects throughout the course including a Per Una design competition and a Dylon Dyes design and illustration competition.

During my HND course we were actively introduced to the www.fashioncapital.co.uk website. Towards the end of my course I applied for work experience at Fashioncapital. At this time they had just established Fashion Enter Ltd so I was lucky enough to gain work experience here. My work experience involved working in the boutique in Croydon where I was able to learn about the running of a boutique and I also had an input into what went up onto the website.

I wrote many fashion articles for the website including street trends and best dressed window. This enabled me to go out into London discovering new trends and reviewing which stores had the best dressed windows.
