Jillian Cole Designs

My work focuses on the diversity of nature, in particular the beauty of florals and organic forms. I enjoy experimenting with a wide range of colour that nature has to offer us. I have also incorporated geometric shapes into my work such as lines, grids and polka dots, which play alongside the organic nature of the florals. My design collections all vary in style, with some demonstrating abstract forms and others showing controlled line and detail.

The majority of my work stems from first hand drawing and sketches, which I gather together in sketchbooks. I then manipulate my drawings on the computer to produce finished designs, of which some are in repeated form and some are non-repeated. These designs can then be digitally printed. I also have a collection of silk screen printed materials which are linked to my computer design work.
