Ever wondered what happened to last years GFW Gold Award winner, James Lawrence? The former Northumbrian grad was inundated with job offers post Awards ceremony and now works in Germany for cult label ‘Closed.’ James has been working with company for the last ten months and says it’s thanks to his award win and the following press coverage that he bagged the top design job. Doing it their own way. Not all colleges and universities show under the Graduate Fashion Week tent, putting on their own gigs were the likes of London College of Fashion, Kingston University, plus not forgetting to add, Central Saint Martins. The latter took on the venue of York Hall in Bethnal Green and held an awards ceremony sponsored by L’Oreal. The top prize, out of 40 graduates, went to Jack Isenberg for his intricately crafted laser-cut tulle and leather dresses.
