Students from Art, Design, Fashion and Media at Barnsley College recently visited New York City for a three night stay.
As part of the College’s Enrichment Programme and Aimhigher, the 30 students and 4 tutors were able to experience the delights of the Empire State Building, shopping on 5th Avenue, Ice Skating in Central Park as well as a moving visit to Ground Zero.
Head of Art and Design Terry Turnbull said ‘The students and staff team were magnificent. They bonded well as a group despite some hiccups along the way with poor weather, lost luggage & passports!’
The visit included optional trips to museums and exhibitions with Ice Hockey and Broadway shows also on offer.
‘The students thoroughly enjoyed it, and for some it was a life changing experience!’
