NDAI is one of the largest education and training providers in Northern Ireland with almost 16,000 enrolments and 630 staff.
Full time 2 years Entry Requirements Students should possess one of the following: An A level pass in an Art related subject with 4xGCSE passes, including English Language, at Grade C or above, OR BTEC National Diploma in an Art & Design area; OR AVCE in Art & Design; OR relevant industrial experience with evidence of recent Art & Design work. All prospective students will be interviewed and they must provide a portfolio of recent work to assess their ability to benefit from the course. Course Aims To provide a broad based design education which will enable the student to develop skills and expertise in his/her chosen area of study and which will provide a sound basis for the students future studies and career development. Content Details Optional Specialisms within 2D Art/Design, 3D Art/Design and Communication Design with a core of Visual and Contextual Studies including Photography, History of Design, European Language and Life Drawing. Assessment Assessment will be continuous. Examinations will take place at the end of each semester and there will be a final show at the end of Year 2. Progression Students who have graduated over the past 3 years who progressed to Year 2 of BA (Hons) courses in Visual Communication, Photography, Fashion, Design and Combined Studies in Art & Design, full-time employment in Graphic Design, Advertising, Interior Design, and TV effects, technical posts in education as well as setting up self employment initiatives.
