Jacob Kimmie – Van Doncke and The Devil

Watching the Jacob Kimmie show at the Royal Academy you’d be hard pushed to tell it was his debut on the London Fashion Week schedule. Keeping the UK in mind Kimmie is dedicated to sourcing locally along with keeping age-old dress-making traditions alive. Entitled ‘The Girl in the Picture’ Kimmie introduces a new English rose that’s chic, classy and romantic all at the same time. While many of his designs modestly cover the body, they never stray into prim territory and remain on the right side of sexy. Taking you from day to night with relative ease Kimmie’s debut show emerged well-balanced and polished - expect to see more from him in the very near future.
