For as long as I can remember I have always had a creative flair with needle and thread and a love of fabrics, plus a natural ability to make women look and feel elegant.

My native country is CYPRUS where I completed my design diploma in fashion, which made me realize that my future was in London, England, one of the great cities of fashion.

I came to London to further my studies at the London College of Fashion. Following my graduation I was accepted into London’s most prestigious fashion houses including Bruce Oldfield. I was fortunate to make several dresses for the late Diana, Princess of Wales while working at Bruce Oldfield.

In 1984, I started my own design label working from my studio in Battersea. Many of my clients were wives of politicians, women in business and actresses.

Also in the 90’s came an exciting opportunity for me to become involved with designs for TV commercials. The most famous was the Cadbury’s Chocolate advertisement - the model wearing the beautiful purple dress.

Sadly due to my mother’s ill health I had to take a break from my business but I am happy to announce I can now concentrate on re-launching GONUL COUTURE.
