While dark hues of black and slate dominate autumn/winter collections - both designer and high street, respite is provided by an injection of colour here and there. Take mustard, it emerged this spring/summer and has been revamped for the autumn/winter season. Those that play it safe combine a dash of - with black, grey or white, while the more daring mix it up with purple or green. Not the best tone for those with pale complexions but then there is always the accessories route. Meanwhile, darker skins can afford to experiment to their heart’s content. Take note this tone is heading for another summer as seen on the 07 catwalk at Temperley, Chloe and Hermes.
