Fred Perry Gets in the Party Mood
Fashion Week is always a good old excuse to throw a party and this season Fred Perry will be joining in with the oh-so-fashionable fun. Scheduled for Wednesday 15th February Fred Perry will be celebrating their exclusive collaboration with renowned stylist Judy Blame. Using the classic Fred Perry polo shirt as a starting point Blame was invited by the brand to unleash his creativity thus producing 3 original hand-made designs. Other designers involved with the project include Jessica Ogden and Siv Stoldal. The knees-up will take place at the recently relocated b-Store where the collaborative designs will be revealed in a special window installation.

Next week it’s most definitely show time with the likes of Margin, To Be Confirmed, Pure and of course Profile on the cards. Showcasing womenswear, menswear and accessory designers Profile combines a trade exhibition, catwalk show and competition. Judged and sponsored by House of Fraser, Hobbs, Debenhams, Whistles and The Welsh Clothing and Textile Association, word is that it’s going to be a tough old time for the judges as this seasons entrants have stepped the game up a notch.

Design Talent of Tomorrow
It seems everybody’s after the ‘next big thing’ from Fashion Fringe to Project Catwalk. One place where you can definitely find some of the country’s up-and-coming design talent is the Central Saint Martins MA show. Sponsored once again by Knightsbridge department store Harrods the show is due to take place at London Fashion Week later this month. Fancy checking out the latest names in design for yourself? Well, pop into The Designer Studio at Harrods for a touch of retail therapy before the 10th of this month and you’ll be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to the show. If like me you are still recovering from Christmas you could always wait until later in the month when the student bagging the ‘Harrods Award for Innovation’ will have their designs displayed in the famous Knightsbridge windows.
The Central Saint Martins MA Show sponsored by Harrods will take place Saturday 18th February 9.30am at the BFC Tent at the Natural History Museum.
Colour of the Moment: Mellow Yellow

Whether its marigold, mustard or ochre - the mellow yellow hue is hotting up for spring.
