This month we will mostly be wearing...By Angela Morris
1. Ear muffs Once resigned only to the playground, and usually of the fluffy bunny variety, ear muffs are winter’s take on the headband – and easier to wear than you think. If the schoolgirl flashbacks are too much to take, go for a grown-up colour such as chocolate brown or cream. And lastly remember that they are not to be worn with a suit -that may look ridiculous, so save them for the impromptu skiing holiday or Christmas shopping trip.
Where: Accessorize, ASOS, Chanel.
Slimming, chic, and undeniably sexy, the pencil skirt is no longer for the school secretary, but is set to be your staple item for the fast-approaching party season. Forget freezing legs in tiny minis; the hourglass figure is back with a vengeance. Team your skirt with a corset, minus the string of pearls, and obligatory heels.
Where: Paul Smith, Topshop, Vivienne Westwood.
Expect riots in the fashionista’s favourite H&M as Stella McCartney launches her one-off collection from 10th November. From satin jumpsuits to skinny drainpipes, all are fabulously priced and beautifully tailored with her signature style. This is not a time to browse however as pieces are strictly limited, but trust me, the pushing and shoving will be worth it.
Where: Selected H&M stores worldwide. |
