Elizabeth Lau Press Release Print E-mail
Elizabeth has always done things in her own unique way.

Graduating from Surrey Institute Of Art And Design in 2000, her final year show was sponsored by Jimmy Choo Couture and Swarovski; the finale outfit was featured on the front page of the Guardian newspaper the
morning after. The scene was set...

Elizabeth spent the next six months as an Assistant Stylist and was involved in the Fake SS01 show and the Naomi Campbell perfume launch. Elizabeth also picked up The Fujifilm Photographer's Award for best fashion
story during this time.

On a whim, Elizabeth wrote to David Tang of luxury brand Shanghai Tang, suggesting that they expand into the accessories market. She was promptly offered a job in Hong Kong and asked to launch a new accessory
range. Her first collection was an instant hit, updating the company's image with original designs in their signature colours.

Elizabeth Lau winning Profile 3Soon afterwards, Sex And The City stylists handpicked her handbags to appear in two seperate episodes, adorning the arms of both Charlotte and Miranda. The bags sold out within days.

After this excursion in Hong Kong, Elizabeth returned to London to realise her vision of launching her own womenswear label "Elizabeth Lau". Her deliciously feminine pieces have quietly gained a following amongst the Notting Hill fashionista.

In 2004 Elizabeth won the London Fashion Forum's exclusive Profile 3 event which is sponsored by House Of Fraser. House Of Fraser has sponsored Profile over the past three seasons in their drive to be at the
very forefront of cutting edge designer fashion. House Of Fraser has awarded the Elizabeth Lau AW04 collection space in their impressive new City store as part of their commitment to new designers.
