Elival Fashion Incubator
Calling all budding Fashion Journalists If words and fashion are two of your very favourite things then The Jackie Moore Award for Fashion Journalism could well be for you. The 2004 hunt is now on for the fashion writers of tomorrow. Interested applicants must have no more than a year’s fashion journalism experience and get their creative heads around the two questions below: 1) Designers have been inspired by fashion from the Twenties, Fifties and Seventies this year. Which decade during the last century would you most like to have lived in for its fashion? 2) Is shopping for clothes a drug or a disaster? Answers must be typed and no more than 500 words each, along with your name, age, sex, occupation, address and contact numbers. The prize will give one lucky winner a good push up the industry ladder with the chance to report for the Guardian Style pages at next seasons London Fashion Week, all expenses paid. Competition judges are Jess Cartner-Morley, fashion editor, the Guardian; Harriet Quick, fashion features editor, Vogue; Tamasin Doe, fashion director, InStyle; Sarah Mower, contributing editor to American Vogue; Francesca Fearon, fashion editor of Hello! Send entries to: The Jackie Moore Award for Fashion Journalism, PO Box No 31397, London, SW11 5YR by December 17 2004.
