We are proud to present to you a new concept in deisgn - an all inspiring new section called ‘Museum’.
The LFF have joined forces with The British Library in an exciting venture which combines together a wide selection of imagery, periodicals, exhibitions and textiles. This new section of FashionCapital will enable you to gain access to high quality pictures which can aid your design process by providing inspiration of fashion dating from the 1400 c. through to the present day. This is currently a new venture for the LFF as well. This section is being soft-launched with the long term aid of providing a design service to enable you to download images in the future. As this project develops and expands and the parameters change we will keep you fully informed. In addition we would like to thank Ms Alexa Bender of the marquis.de site for her valuable input todate. The Marquis.de site provides a range of imageryu of fashion plates (i.e. drawing taken from books, periodicals etc) from the 1400s until 1900s. An incredibley comprehensive site www.marquise.de gives a wide cross section of images that can provide today’s talented designer with amazing details for forthcoming garment collections e.g. cuffs, colours, print trends and sleeve head details. There is also a stunning collection of dowloadable patterns.
