Time to put your best foot forward as I introduce you to Miss.Victoria Fox Print E-mail
Foxy Lady...

It is that time again girls, where fashion has backtracked once again into the good old days, but this time its not only one decade, but a mixture of 3! Platforms from the 70's, wedges from the 60's and t bar dancing shoes from the 30's, it's no wonder the average modern woman is shoe crazy.

Image And, if you thought that was good news in itself, you'll be even thrilled to know who is actually bringing these divine creatures to a store near you.  May I introduce Victoria Fox. A Notting Hill based young lady with a huge talent for sparkling up your tooties.  Trained by no one else but Jimmy Choo (us, jealous? never!) she is renowned for her precise attention to detail and eye for colour, and has now joined forces with chic high street store Dorothy Perkins.

Image Here fab new range includes sexy knee high boots, cut away sandals, dancing shoes and Autumnal shaded treasures such as platform wedges and stilettos.  The collection will be available in 18 stores throughout the country from Oct and prices start from a modest £45 a pair. Don’t hang around ladies, go get yourself to your nearest store and step out in the foxiest footwear around.

Ann Louise Roswald- new girl on the block

So in Love with Rosa....

Image If you thought that Miss.Fox was music to your ears, you'll be even more thrilled to know that another newcomer has entered the fashion building in the shape of Ann Louise Roswald. A graduate from Central St.Martins, Roswald has become one of the biggest successes by a London based designer.

Image And it isn't just us who has noticed her potential but Oasis have also taken interest, making her their new designer of the range called 'Love Rosa.'  The collection is every girly girl’s heaven, with coloured knits, silk dresses, knitted cardies and pretty tops sprinkled with sequins.

Image All come in beautiful vibrant but romantic colours such as turquoise, aqua and black alongside funky patterns.  Her talents don't stop there, as she also has accessories and hats galore, all with her signature quirky patterns and distinctive colours.

The bolder the better is definately the message here and her range, out now, is so worth a look at.  Make sure you check out her umbrella and weekend bag selection as they are cute, girly and a must buy. And that's why we are so in love with Rosa.

Lose yourself in a book this Autumn...Stiletto style

See it, read it, loooove it - Caroline Cox

Ok, so far I have told you where to buy your shoes, where to buy your clothes and where to visit in your spare time. Therefore, it's only fair that I give you the whole package and tell you what to be reading.  Forget all the slushy novels about love and blah blah, forget fiction or horror, the book you should be cozying up to is Caroline Cox's Stiletto (Mitchell and Beatley, £30).

Having met her at a lecture at uni last week, I can honestly say that she is not only a genious when it comes to the cultural side of fashion, but she is a live wire.  Funny, interesting and full of life and her book sounds just like her. Stiletto is all about the economical, social and historical context in which society reacts towards an object, that object being the stiletto.

Image Although the stiletto is now viewed as the ultimate shoe for women on the razzle, back in time where women were condemned for just about anything, it was viewed as everything from being too sexy to being a prostitute.  She also talks about the relevance of the shoe in every day life and why women chose to wear them as they can cause discomfort (ever heard of 'no pain no gain?'), she also talks about all the semiotics it represents and all of the weird and wonderful things it has been associated with (these include fetish, fantasy, femininity and pornography).

Cox takes you through the fascinating world of the controversial shoe in which women today don't even give a second thought to. Who would have thought that a shoe once seen as the whores best friend would now be so in Vogue? So I would advise anyone who is a lover of shoes (erm, isn’t everyone?!) to join in the stiletto debate.  It is out on the 3rd November and from someone who has met the woman herself, take it from me that it will be the book of the year. No shoe-a-holic should be seen without a copy.
