Franco Francesca has won a competition organised by Italian perfume manufacturer and retailer, Limoni Perfumeria, in collaboration with Milan Fashion Week and 'Fashion Magazine'.
DESIGNER FRANCO FRANCESCA WINS FIRST PRIZE AT MILAN FASHION WEEK Franco Francesca has won a competition organised by Italian perfume manufacturer and retailer, Limoni Perfumeria, in collaboration with Milan Fashion Week and 'Fashion Magazine'.
The cutting edge collection of the Italian designer who lives in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire draws on the zoormorphic movement which takes inspiration from animal shapes like starfish ,lugworms,insects and secured him first place over seven other finalists. The jury was composed of a number of prestigious personalities from the Italian fashion industry including Mario Boselli, President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (Italy's equivalent to the British Fashion Council) and representatives of the Italian national media. First prize included an award of 5,000 Euros and an opportunity for Francesca to design his own perfume carrying the label 'Franco Francesca' which will be produced by Limoni Perfumeria and sold in 300 shops over a period of 5 years. The designer will receive 3% of the royalties from sales of the perfume.
