Louisa Cambell

The latest trend seems to be designers hooking up with fashion illustrators to help them create a unique style of fabric design - and why not.  Louisa Cambell's illustartions are simply beautiful which is a word i would use to describe this illustrators work.  She is heavily influenced by the delicate ensemble of line shape and placement.  Graphic design and architecture feature heavily - by using the basic form of structure which ultimately represent the mood of her designs.

She indeed takes all the qualities of mark – making and layering to produce contemporary designs for multi purposes.

It certainly takes skill to put pen to paper and draw like this, even though these illustrations may look simple - simple in effect is the most hardest to accomplish.  Delicate lines and positioning are the most significant factors here.

For Autumn/Winter 2005/2006 we will see a surge in prints in many different forms. Ckeck out the range from Liberty below!
