 The Internet, how would we live without it? We can listen to music, watch films, do our research, talk to people overseas and book a holiday at 3.00 in the morning. It literally has made the world a smaller and more accessible place, and one website is taking full advantage of that fact.
Ad!dict Lab is a website based in Brussels which is dedicated to all things creative by you the creative public. Established in 1998 by Jan Van Mol the site is a virtual community of photographers, designers, film makers and architects from all over the globe. People from Europe, South Africa, America and Japan are logging on and becoming members of the Ad!dict Lab world. What Is Ad!dict Lab?
But that’s not all; Ad!dict Lab isn’t just a website, it’s also a publication. Produced quarterly the Ad!dict magazine is distributed in over 30 countries and has over 150 creative people collaborating on each issue. The site has also begun producing the ‘’Labbie’’ magazine, which caters for college students and their work.
There’s the Think Tank for Brands section. It’s here that Ad!dict Lab promotes individual prototypes and designs and acts as a consultant to companies looking for creative input on a specific products. Their clients include Lee Cooper jeans, BMW, Diesel, Nike, Levi’s and Chrysler.

The idea behind the site is to bring together creative talent from all over the world in order to explore new ideas. Using the premise that ‘’any creative process is a result of cross-fertilisation’’ the site has become a creative portal where individuals freely register and download their work. Here they have the chance to collaborate either together (with other Lab members) or with companies who are looking for new ideas.
And if that’s not enough there is always the gallery and shop where their creative members are invited to showcase and sell their work, be it individual or part of an Ad!dict project. And there’s more.
