Hanging it all together for the fashion industry

Has M&S lost it's sparkle?

Figures announced today seem to reflect that the sparkles gone with sales down 0.5% year on year and down 2.5% since January. Roger Holmes said that the figures were disappointing and hinted at further cost reductions, however Armani announced first quarter sales up 15% and Burberry reported a 13% rise in sales for the six months to the end of March -  There seems no justice for M&S!

Meanwhile research at Warwick Business Centre has revealed that budding entrepreneurs tend to be more successful if their parents were also self-starters - is it nurture or nature? But there is one major asset for self employed entrepreneurs in the fashion industry - they have information at their finger tips with Fashion Capital.

Have a good week ahead
