Hanging it all together for the fashion industry

How impressive is Dov Charney - the brains behind the company American Apparel in the USA?

Dov has just built the largest garment factory in the States, and now rivals Gap. Such moves towards domestic production endorses the return for retailers to the UK manufacturing industry as highlighted by the London Fashion Forum back in November 2003.

It's time for the big boys in the retailing world to take advantage of the plethora of excellent CMT and manufacturing units in the UK. Just look at the Fashion Capital Company Finder directory. In a matter of just a few weeks, this directory has increased from just under 400 to over 12,000 entries. The UK manufacturing industry is well and truly alive and kicking.

Have a good week ahead
