Hanging it all together for the fashion industry
NEWSLETTER

27th February 2008

Dear All,

Milan surprised all this season with not a flash of breast or thigh in sight. Yes, demure, elegant and austere was the new mood that emerged from the Italian fashion capital and now it’s the turn of Paris; it will be interesting to see what they turn out.

From Milan to Paris

Our resident photographer Rodney Compton has headed over to les chic Paris to capture some of the action firsthand along with our contributing journalist Muchaneta Kapfunde. More from them soon.

Paris Fashion Week dominates the industry calendar along with accompanying trade shows until the 4th March. In London, meanwhile, The London Accessory Sale kicks off on the 29th at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane and the National Portrait Gallery continues to show-off some iconic images in Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913 to 2008.

What’s On FC This Week

Coming soon…fabric consultant Karen Levy gives us her trend insight directly from Premiere Vision Spring 09. Veteran journalist David Callam gives us his top tips for compiling a press release - that gets noticed, and Dassault Systemes & Wing Tai's Zymmetry group reveal an agreement that will provide the very best in apparel supply chain and business management in presszone.

Boutique Pick of the Week

Inspired by Prada’s latest lace filled collection we’ve gone all girly and picked out this French Chantilly lace camisole top which will no doubt go down well with all those Mum’s out there this Sunday. (Don’t forget your Mum this Sunday!)
