Hanging it all together for the fashion industry

Newsletter

9th January 2008

Dear All,

Have you managed to bag yourself a sales bargain over the last couple of weeks? I have to say the trick really is to get in there early, of course the alternative is to sit, relax, and browse those online sales at your own leisure, either way the best buys have long gone and spring stock is starting to fill those rails.

While many predict a quiet road ahead for the retail sector, financial analysts have been forecasting doom and gloom for sometime now, reports are revealing a good festive season for the likes of John Lewis, Jane Norman and House of Fraser. Meanwhile, despite the negative press, 2008 is already gearing up to be the year of the fashion initial public offering.

On FC This Week…

Editor JoJo Iles reveals key trends, events and names to watch in the world of fashion throughout 2008. Jessica Petelin features the latest products to make you look and feel great during January’s post-Christmas lull and teenage journalist Bethany Hart talks accessory essential – hats!
