May I say a BIG thank you to the Governement Office of London for sponsoring five Fashion Enter designers to participate in the Everywomens conference TODAY! Designers including Catharina Eden, Kat Bird, Dawn James and Rachale Browne will be attending the conference today and networking with like minded individuals - who knows what opportunties may develop!

The number of quality journalists on the FashionCapital site is now at record levels. JoJo Iles Editor of FashionCapital explained: "It's a testament to the rapid development of FashionCapital that so many journlaists are now coming on board. In the last few weeks, Ellen Grace Jones, Becky Lyon and Christa Catharina Muller have contributed to the site and its a genuine pleasure to be working with such a talented team. If there is anyone else out there that would also like to gain enormous industry exposure please drop me an email and let's discuss!" (jojo@fashioncapital.co.uk

It's Enterprise Week and the crew have been merrily networking. Tonight a Pamper Pod (!) is being errected at Centrale's Shopping Mall to showcase the talents of the fashion students of both Kingston and Croydon College. Staffed by Fashion-Enter under the initiative "Getting It Right First Time" the students will be having a chance to promote themselves in the busy Centrale Centre. Opportunites will be available whereby students can sell their work or obtain one off commissions and it's with grateful thanks here to Liz Ogilvie, Director of Business Enterprise at Kingston College, who is paying for the stand, and Gayle Atkins, Fashion Course Leader at Croydon, for being so innovative!

Already Croydon Advertiser have confirmed their attendance so again many thanks to the Business Editor David Callam for his tremendous support.

We have also managed to win some major contracts in the last few weeks. There will be more about these projects later but an enormous thanks to Justine Wright and Chris Lee of EQUAL, Croydon Enterprise through Croydon Business, Prefix, Fashion Fringe through Centre of Fashion Enterprise and City Fringe Partnerships too. Some great ground breaking initatives here that will benefit a wide cross section of workers within the fashion industry. In particular its great to be working with Gavin Douglas the recent winner of Fashion Fringe.

Finally, the mobile competition has really beginning to hot up and some of the designs & illustrations are absolutely fab! Just look at a few of the designers that are hot favourites to win!

OK, lots happening - have a good one.

Until next week,

Jenny Holloway
