Big congrats to Bonnie Chung for organising the Fashion Forward event last night. 10 designers were reviewed on the catwalk and the three judges Robert Bensoussan, CEO of Jimmy Choo, Maria Stammers, senior Industry Advisor from Portobello Business Centre and yours truly enjoyed an action packed evening.

We even had Zoë Salmon, the Blue Peter presenter there too who had three garments from her Starfish range that she had designed. To be fair the three garments followed a theme but were not that commercial with the use of heavy ropes and plastic middles that would make your belly button sweat - yuk!!!

So how has your week been so far? The merry band at the London Fashion Forum are still working like little solders and as many of you are aware we are still in discussions with our funders regarding the future course of events. We will of course keep you posted.
We are looking forward to the Delivery Day at University of East London on 14th March and many thanks to Kate Davey for arranging this again. This is the third time that we have been to UEL and it's great to have such a wonderful rapport with a quality FE institution.
Delivery Day is a 1/2 day presentation when we give an insiders view of the fashion industry to final year students in fashion related courses. We bring guest speakers too so its a great eye-opening.

At the moment we have to put a short term hold on the journalists on the site. It's just from a budgetary perspective but I miss Jo Illes, Jo Carey, Kristy Hazell and Paula Arkell already. When you work with a professional set of outstanding individuals it makes you realise that its the team effort that wins the day. I have worked with Jo Illes for over five years now and I have so much admiration and respect for her. Business lines are always blurred and friendship arises from the most unlikely places! Ladies please can you just hang in there for a short while!
