I was reading through one of these chatrooms a while ago and i came accross a mention about meetings that take place accross London where you can go and find info and advice on which manufacturer to choose. I'd like to go to one but can't now find the info. Can anyone help. I'd really like to speak to someone properly as i'm having a real headache finding a manufacturer.???

No, I'm in Brighton, so when I come to london i have to try to fill the day to make it worthwhile. I'm coming up next friday. I've got a meeting with Allijan after finding them in the Manufacturers Showroom and in the Reiss article. Do you know much about them? Are they reasonable(quality/price)?

I have known Fatmah for years and she is very good. Good quality IF YOU SPECIFY IT CLEARLY, well rpiced for work content and her unit is flying at the moment. Works for Marios Schward and the likes...Jasper Conran too. When you go on the visit you will see the work there.

Fatmah did a lot of the work for Mathew Williamson too!

Just to let everybody know, I thought the standard of work being produced at Allijan was fantastic. What stood out was the neatness of chiffon pieces, especially bias hems, and they were currently working on some sculptural velvet gowns. Very interesting. Fatmah was really helpfull and spent alot of time digging out fabrics from her stock I could use.
However I will continue to look for a cheaper manufacturer, possibly in another country as although her quote was reasonable for London, it's not realistic in terms of me making a profit.
