Looking for Work Experience 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi, im about to graduate from university in May and im looking to break into buying, however I have found this quite difficult having a business _base_d degree and not one in fashion. Any work experience I could get in the areas of buying and merchandising, or even fashion in general would really help me. If anyone has any ideas please get in contact

Thanks

Hello,

The director of Fashion Enter Ltd, Jenny Holloway has a degree in Business Studies and it didn't do her any harm... you just need to break into the fashion industry.

I have spoken with Jenny and we are prepared to offer you some work experience. Ring me on 020 8681 5014 and lets talk it through.

Kind Regards

Emily

Want to work in fashion?

If you’ve seen ‘The Devil Wear Prada’, you’ll know that the fashion industry is a notoriously competitive and difficult industry to get into, and even trickier to be successful in.

_style_Aware are running a series of one day beginner’s workshops from the 7th-18th July.

Led by Faye Marriott, this unique course provides an insight into the exciting world of fashion assisting and styling for those who want to succeed in this fast growing, fast paced and cut throat industry. You will be introduced to the fundamental basics of fashion assisting which will enable you to eventually become a stylist in your own right. The course also covers:

• How to get started, work experience, who to contact, cover letters and CV building.
• Fashion internships-everything you need to know to be a success, from introductions to PR agencies, how to stand out from the rest, to the rules and etiquette of the dreaded 'fashion cupboard'
• How to assist on fashion shoots- learn how to become the best fashion assistant in the business, and become indispensable to stylists.
• How to get your first paid job as a stylist, portfolio building and how to be a stylist on your own.

Places are limited and cost £100. For more information and to book please email info@_style_aware.co.uk.
