I have done dress making in my own time for clients or friends with occasions, this consist of pattern making/cutting, garment construction, fittings and alterations.

My name is Ben Ramsden and I am the founder of Pants to Poverty - a Calvin Klein that does an Oxfam.

We began as the youth movement from Make Poverty History and, after selling c. 11,000 within 6 months we had about 1000 pairs left. We are currently collaborating with Junky Styling to recycle these old unused Make Poverty History pants into dressing gowns, t-shirts, hoodies, dresses and much more.

In order to develop this further though we are looking for at least one machinist who would be able to use our overlocker and work to the patterns created by Junky. The work will be paid and very flexible and we are ready to start immediately should the right person come along
