I'm a starting out freelancer illustrator and was wondering if anybody had any advice on what to charge for a daily rate. I have a job lined up for Adobe Illustrator vector illustrations to be used as downloadable shapes for the fashion industry. They want to pay me for the whole job. I've worked out that it will be 20 days work, give or take a couple. Should I charge £150?

Any info would be hugely appreciated.

Regarding the handbag illustrations that you require, what kind are you looking for? I can do technical CAD's or stylized fashion illustrations. How many do you need? My fees are 150 to 200 a day, depending on the quantity.

Again it would depend on how many you need doing. For just one I'd charge £50. Would you need me to draw from a photo or from a sketch, and do you need measurements included?

All I need is just 1 detailed drawing just in case I have to send it to designers, samplers or manufacturers. The drawings would include measurements.

I have rough sketches done but the pockets in the handbag or purse would be detailed with measurements.
