I think it's pretty unique in as much as new designers are not really shown the in's & out's of sales & will make a lot of errors when approaching buyers which will lead to them not getting appointments therefore little to no sales on their collections. This in turn leads to no production & no stockists representing their line. All a lot of new designers/brands are left with is a beautiful sample collection which defeats the purpose of what they are trying to so. My approach is to outline what just to do in lamens terms as well as supplying a current upto date womenswear buyer data_base_ & softwareas well as vital information that most overlook but is critical for success & legal protection. My buyer data_base_ has taken me many years as a fashion agent to complile. The designers I have helped so far seem very pleased with what they have recieved and are as we speak approaching the very same buyers I approach.
