my name lorna and i am a studio manager for a menswear designer called carola euler, a cental saint martins graduate who has already shown in fashion week and sells in shops like b.store in london, we are looking for someone to do work placement outside frankfurt, germany in the lead up to fashion week mid feb 2007, ideally we would want someone to come as early in january as possible and work in germany up until fashion week and then dress etc for the show in london,
unfortunatly the position would be unpaid, but we could help with finding local accomodation, we are a frienndly hard working team and it would be great experience, in patttern cutting, machining and all aspects of working within a fashion company,

I am currently studying for a BA HONS in Knitted Fashion Design and Knitted Textiles at Nottingham Trent University. Part of my course requires me to complete twenty seven weeks work experience, commencing from July 2007 running as far as October 2008.

I may have the opportunity to work in New York for six months, but the rest of my year is free and rather than bum around I would very much like to take a second placement on.

This placement can be located anywhere within England (other countries will be considered) and the placement would preferably be paid (but non-paid would also be considered). Although I specialize in knitwear design I am a very competent woven fashion designer too; often making and selling my own clothes and previously working as a seamstress.
