Now in its second fabulous year, the ETHIC competition, sponsored by Brother, challenges budding fashion designers currently in Further Education to put the compassion back in to fashion! Facing the challenges of pollution, waste, water consumption, animal cruelty, poor working conditions and child labour, the fashion industry is changing and we feel the young designers showcasing at ETHIC 2008 show exactly how creative, innovative, glamorous and desirable ethical fashion can be. And we aren't alone - along with Brother, ETHIC 2008 is privileged to be supported by Fair Trade, Beyond Skin, People Tree, Doy Bags, Pod, organic T-Shirt company La Fraise and Cafe Direct, along with many others. We are also thrilled that this year's judging panel includes Kate Carter from The Guardian and Kerry White from Eco Boudoir. We hope you can come to enjoy the stunning catwalk show, the delicious ethical food and wine, and to collect your goody bag stuffed full of gorgeous ethical gifts! |
