The association was set up in 2000 by representatives in the textile industry. The aims of the association are to:

 

  • Raise the profile of the industry in Wales
  • Promote and assist businesses and Designers within the sector
  • Encourage networking and generate working links between members
  • Organise exhibitions and projects
  • Generate sales leads
  • Promote and encourage training and skills development through Skillfast UK
  • Promote the use of best practises in members businesses
  • Create working links between the Association, N.T.O.s and schools.

WCTA Projects

 

The Association has undertaken three European projects to date.

 

Interreg IIIa

This two year project gave companies extensive knowledge of fabrics and fabric properties.
