Jenny Holloway and Fashion Enter featured on ABC Awards website.

The New Year brings reflections of our successes and here at ABC Awards we could not be happier for one of our London based Showcase Centres, Fashion Enter Ltd. Fashion entrepreneur Jenny Holloway, Chief Executive of Fashion Enter and sister company FashionCapital, became the Not-for-Profit National Businesswoman of the Year in the National Women in Business Awards 2016.

Jenny has worked in the fashion industry for more than thirty years, starting her career as an assistant buyer for Littlewoods, then as a selector for Marks & Spencer and a senior buyer for the Arcadia Group before opening her own label Retro. In 2006, Jenny incorporated Fashion Enter, a social enterprise employing more than 100 people making 7,500 units a week from a factory in London.

On winning the award Jenny Holloway said:

“I was overwhelmed when we won the Not For Profit and Social Enterprise Women In Business Award, I cannot stress that this is an award for all the amazing people that work together at Fashion Enter, this is a total team effort.

“Everyone plays a part and everyone really is respected… bring on 2017! This is just the beginning.”

ABC Awards has supported Fashion Enter Ltd since 2012 from creating a new qualification in stitching skills, to becoming an ABC Awards Showcase Centre and most recently then joining our Quality Licence Scheme.

Working with major retailers such as ASOS.com and Marks & Spencer, Fashion Enter has its very own Stitching Academy which equips the next-generation of fashion and textiles professionals with commercial standard sampling, grading and production skills. It is also the largest provider nationwide for the Fashion and Textiles Apprenticeship programme and has been awarded the Tick – a mark of excellence provided by Creative Skillset.

Jenny states:

“ABC Awards has been incredibly helpful and supportive over the years. We could not have managed to create a new qualification nor understand how National Occupation Standards work without their help and support.”

Jenny goes on to say:

“The success of the Stitching Academy has now lead to a grant from London Borough of Haringey Council of over £.5m to create a new state of the art Fashion Technology Academy so we can deliver more specific and niche qualifications such as machine maintenance and quality control. This would not have been possible without the support of ABC Awards.”
